NPR reports that the way most states define what constitutes 20 weeks of pregnancy in their abortion laws isn't the same way most doctors define it. In the meantime, Mexican abortion pill sellers just across the border from Texas expect a boon after that state's new abortion restrictions.
The federal agency that oversees a large network of research centers seeking cures for hundreds of rare, disabling and often fatal diseases has named Cincinnati Children's as its new data management and coordinating center.
SpePharm Holding, BV today announced the acquisition of the worldwide (with the exception of North and South America) rights to Savene® from TopoTarget A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark). As part of the acquisition SpePharm will also take on the European sales force of TopoTarget. Savene®, which has been marketed by TopoTarget since its approval by the EMEA in July 2006, is the only approved product for the treatment of extravasations, or leakage out of the blood stream, of certain commonly used anticancer drugs known as anthracyclines.
Using a special MRI technique, researchers have determined that the location and degree of airway narrowing in the lungs of asthma sufferers can be markedly persistent over time.
