A team at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania launched the United States component of a global registry that aims to help protect health care providers who intubate patients with COVID-19 and better quantify their risk of developing the disease.
OMNIlife science, Inc., is very pleased to announce that it has entered into an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Societe d'Etudes Recherches Fabrication (SERF)-Dedienne Sante of France for its NOVAE® Dual Mobility Acetabular Cup System. OMNI intends to begin distribution of this product in the USA as soon as U.S. FDA approval of the product is achieved.
Currently, no definitive standard of care exists for adolescent and young adults (AYA) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Recent research suggests that AYAs treated with pediatric treatment protocols have better outcomes than those treated with adult treatment protocols.
As germs and bacteria become increasingly resistant to cleaning chemicals and antibiotics, Hunterdon Medical Center recently deployed Xenex LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robots that use pulsed xenon ultraviolet light to enhance traditional room cleaning procedures as a key part of the hospital's infection prevention program.
A study comparing two breathing tubes used by paramedics during out-of-hospital cardiac arrest shows that the King laryngeal tube was superior to the more commonly used endotracheal tube.
