The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) and the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association (SFHHA) today announce an agreement with the ECRI Institute Patient Safety Organization (PSO) to support the Patient Safety Organization of Florida (PSOFlorida) with patient safety data collection and analysis. PSOFlorida, a component organization of the FHA and the SFHHA, was established to focus on improving the quality of care that hospitals in Florida provide to the state's residents and visitors.
NanoViricides, Inc. said that additional biological tests and data analysis have shown that animals treated with its lead anti-HIV drug candidate, HIVCide-I, demonstrated a substantially greater reduction in viral load - number of infectious virus particles per milliliter of blood - when compared to the animals given the anti-HIV "combo cocktail" in a preliminary animal study. An important objective of anti-HIV treatment is to minimize the viral load.

The new process enables replication of the cells by tens of millions in several weeks, a dramatic increase over previous duplication methods.
