SDI's Vector One®: National shows that for the week ending Oct. 16, the number of antiviral prescriptions dispensed at retail pharmacies was 36% higher than the prior week.
An international collaboration including scientists from the Florida campus of The Scripps Research Institute has determined the structure of a plant hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating plants' responses to insects and disease-causing microorganisms as well as normal growth and development.
The prognosis of pancreatic cancer is poor but new therapies such as gemcitabine have contributed to improving the outcome for patients. Data presented at the 13th European Conference (ECCO) revealed that using the combination of gemcitabine and capecitabine increased overall survival in some patients.
Inhibitex, Inc. today reported positive top-line safety and antiviral data from its multiple ascending dose Phase 1b clinical trial of INX-189, an oral nucleotide polymerase inhibitor being developed to treat chronic infections caused by hepatitis C virus.
