A new study finds the effects of health care reform to be minimal on employer-sponsored insurance, despite criticism that changes to how insurance premiums are calculated will force employers to stop offering coverage.
TeamStaff, Inc., a leading healthcare and logistical services provider to the Federal Government, today announced its financial results for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2010. As a result of the previously disclosed sale of TeamStaff Rx, which was completed on January 4, 2010, all results reported in this release have been reclassified to show TeamStaff Rx as a discontinued operation.
Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of a new formulation of PreNexa® Rx prenatal vitamins. The new formulation contains an increased amount of algal-oil, plant-based docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), from 265 mg to 300 mg and increased vitamin D3, from 170 IU to 400 IU.
The dual-hormone closed-loop delivery system, a type of artificial pancreas, could offer significant advantages over conventional insulin pump therapy in Type 1 diabetes patients, report researchers.
Genzyme Corp.today said it welcomed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' decision not to include oral medications without IV equivalents in Medicare's End Stage Renal Disease patient benefit. According to the final rule, these medications, including Genzyme's Renvela (sevelamer carbonate), will not be included in the bundle until January 1, 2014.
