The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted for review the New Drug Application (NDA) seeking marketing approval for Retigabine. In addition, the European Medicines Agency (EMEA) confirmed on November 17, 2009 that the MAA (Marketing Authorization Application) was successfully validated thus enabling the MAA review to commence.
Reviewing several recent surveys of young people, the authors note that underage smokers can acquire cigarettes easily, often from friends and relatives. Most regular smokers aged 12-15 also say they buy cigarettes from shops.
The number of diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with thoracic malignancies has markedly increased, allowing for an individualized approach based on the clinical situation and molecular characteristics of the tumor. How to best select among these options for the benefit of the patients within an integrative treatment approach will be at the core of the conference.
Stem cell research published today offers up new clues as to how Parkinson's spreads from cell to cell, a process which has evaded researchers for decades.
