An international consensus panel led by researchers from The Westmead Institute for Medical Researchhas highlighted the need to redefine Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and to name it Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease. Researchers highlighted that the new terminology will better reflect its causes, and improve public health initiatives.
As a rule leptospirosis victims experience severe headaches and flu-like symptoms but the severe form which is Weil's disease, causes jaundice and liver damage, and can be fatal - but it usually only affects 10% of leptospirosis victims.
A complex interplay of molecular components governs almost all aspects of biological sciences - healthy organism development, disease progression, and drug efficacy are all dependent on the way life's molecules interact in the body.
