The AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation announced today it received a $25 million charitable contribution from AstraZeneca for Connections for Cardiovascular Health(SM), its newest program with the mission of improving cardiovascular health in the United States.
Jersey Shore University Medical Center announces today that Mark Martens, M.D., chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology, performed the first Acessa procedure in New Jersey. The procedure is used for the treatment of uterine fibroids. Additionally, Jersey Shore's Jocelyn A. Carlo, M.D., Obstetrics/Gynecology, is performing the procedure.
