Closing schools for less than two weeks during a flu pandemic may increase infection rates and prolong an epidemic, say University of Pittsburgh researchers in a study published ahead-of-print and online in the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice.
Curemark LLC, a drug research and development company focused on the treatment of neurological diseases, announced today that it has been awarded a grant by the United States government under the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project (QTDP) Program to advance the development of its lead product CM-AT for autism. CM-AT is presently in Phase III clinical trials at 18 sites around the US.
Advanced age is not a reason to preclude patients from receiving vascular endothelial growth factor-targeted therapy for metastatic renal cell carcinoma, show study findings from a mixed-age patient population.
Since 2004, Claude Knauf (INSERM) and Patrice Cani (UCLouvain) have been collaborating on molecular and cellular mechanisms in order to understand the causes of the development of type 2 diabetes and above all to identify new therapeutic targets.
