A new treatment that treats a subset of stroke patients by combining minimally invasive surgery, an imaging technique likened to "GPS for the brain," and the clot-busting drug t-PA appears to be safe and effective, according to a multicenter clinical trial led by Johns Hopkins researchers.
eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Buffalo, New York's Catholic Independent Practice Association (CIPA) has selected eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) software for the Catholic Health System's network of ambulatory care offices and for select community physicians, purchasing 150 licenses. eClinicalWorks will also work with the IPA to connect into HEALTHeLINK, the local Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO).
For young adults who have been diagnosed with a chronic condition like Type 1 diabetes or growth hormone deficiency, health concerns can add a degree of difficulty to transitions like leaving for college or living alone for the first time.
Given Imaging Ltd. today announced that a multi-center study published in the November edition of Gut showed PillCam capsule endoscopy of the small bowel to be just as useful and equally as safe in children under eight years old as it is in older children or adults. The prospective multicenter analysis was led by Annette Fritscher-Ravens M.D., Department of Interdisciplinary Endoscopy, University Hospital Kiel, Germany.
