Female childhood cancer survivors may face pregnancy problems, including early deliveries and low birth weight children, according to a study in the October 19 Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
Advaxis, Inc.,, the live, attenuated Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) biotechnology company, enrolled and has administered its initial dose to its third patient in its US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved, phase II clinical trial in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), commonly known as cervical dysplasia.
A small study published in the journal JCI Insight on November 14, 2019, suggests that antibody treatment could help people with severe allergy to peanuts eat a small amount of peanut-containing food just two weeks later, without any ill effects. This seems to show that this is a safe, fast and effective treatment for food allergy.
In results presented at the AACR Annual Meeting 2013, researchers from the University of Colorado Cancer Center show that the Six2 homeoprotein, while not involved in primary tumor growth, allows cells to detach from substrate and survive their transition through the bloodstream to faraway sites of metastasis.
The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) says obesity scaremongers, in a bid to again frighten the public with an alarmist claim on obesity and mortality, are using statistics that lack empirical scientific evidence to back up their claims.
