Researchers at the University of Utah Health have conducted a survey suggesting that a large proportion of people have a tendency to lie to their doctors about information that could be relevant to their health.
The Food and Drug Administration has cleared the MAGNETOM Vida 3 Tesla (3T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner from Siemens Healthineers, which features new BioMatrix technology that addresses inherent anatomical and physiological differences among patients, as well as user variability.
Scientists have determined that a specific class of PCB causes significant developmental abnormalities in rat pups whose mothers were exposed to the toxicant in their food during pregnancy and during the early weeks when the pups were nursing.
Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel products for rare and ultra-rare diseases, and Arcturus Therapeutics, Inc., a leading RNA medicines company, today announced that they have entered into a research collaboration and license agreement to discover and develop messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics to certain rare disease targets using Arcturus' UNA Oligomer chemistry and LUNAR nanoparticle delivery platform.
Greening vacant lots may be associated with biologic reductions in stress, according to a new study from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Residents who walked near newly greened vacant lots had significantly lower heart rates compared to walking near a blighted, or neglected, vacant lot.
