Depending upon the type of medicine and where you live, the threat of falsified medications (also referred to as counterfeit, fraudulent, and substandard) can be quite real, yet the full scope and prevalence of the problem is poorly understood, say researchers at University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in a new report published April 20 in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Despite emerging evidence of a decline in sperm quality with increasing age, an analysis of every first fertility treatment cycle performed in the UK using sperm donation shows that outcome in terms of live birth is not affected by the age of the sperm donor.
American Imaging Management(R) (AIM), an operating subsidiary of WellPoint, Inc. (NYSE: WLP), and one of the leading imaging benefit management and technology companies with health plan clients representing over 35 million consumers, announced that it has been selected by ODS Health Plan, Inc. to provide diagnostic imaging services. Under the agreement, AIM will administer diagnostic imaging management services to ODS members in Oregon and surrounding service areas.
New research has uncovered a process that is defective in patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, a common cause of kidney failure.
