Going to bed early and following a consistent bedtime routine may help reduce children's risk of becoming overweight or obese, according to a new study published in Acta Paediatrica.
A new study has thrown light on several eating habits that could be linked to obesity. Notable among these are speed of eating, eating after dinner snacks and eating within 2 hours of sleeping. The study titled, "Effects of changes in eating speed on obesity in patients with diabetes: a secondary analysis of longitudinal health check-up data" appeared in the latest issue of the online journal BMJ Open.
IDC has released a new special research study on the market for employee benefits administration in the U.S., which shows that over 70% of all employers - both small and large - are either concerned or very concerned over the ramifications of potential healthcare reform legislation. Researchers on Monday announced they were calling off a trial to test whether taking an oral HIV drug reduces the risk of HIV infection in women after interim analysis of the study showed women taking the medication were no less likely to become infected with HIV than those who were not taking the medicine, the Associated Press reports.
