Project Data Sphere, LLC (PDS) is an independent, not-for-profit initiative of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer's Life Sciences Consortium (LSC), a group formed by President Bush in 2001 to look at the ways in which different organisations can come together to improve outcomes in cancer research that no individual group could do by itself. Researchers from Taiwan have confirmed a bidirectional relation between schizophrenia and epilepsy. The study published today in Epilepsia, a journal of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), reports that patients with epilepsy were nearly 8 times more likely to develop schizophrenia and those with schizophrenia were close to 6 times more likely to develop epilepsy.
