In response to surging COVID-19 cases and deaths as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended Americans refrain from traveling to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

However, over the past week, the virus has spread to more than 40 countries, infecting over 83,000 people with more than 2,800 deaths. Now, the UK's case toll increased to 16 as Northern Ireland reported its first coronavirus case.

When a consultant is working 50 hours a week despite only being paid for 35, that is putting the patient first. When a consultant is operating on an emergency patient in the middle of the night, that is putting the patient first.
Survivors of childhood cancers were hospitalized more often and for longer durations because of blood disorders and other problems, many years after cancer treatment was completed, compared with the general population, according to a study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.
Overall, worldwide, immunization programs reach around 83% of all children – this is an enormous achievement. With this level of immunization coverage, we prevent over 2 million deaths, year after year. This statistic is often forgotten or taken for granted.
