Children with both autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are at increased risk for being diagnosed with or treated for anxiety and mood disorders, according to a study published in Pediatrics today.
To enhance the diagnostic capabilities of ultrasound and improve patient care, Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, Mich., has installed the first Aplio 500 ultrasound system from Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. Aplio 500 offers advanced visualization capabilities, workflow automation tools, superior ergonomics and cutting-edge Fly Thru and Smart Fusion technologies, enabling clinicians to see what they have never seen before.
Moderate alcohol intake-defined as no more than one alcoholic drink for women and two for men per day-has been associated with a lower risk of dying from cardiovascular disease when compared with individuals who abstain from drinking or partake in excessive drinking, according to a new study being presented at the American College of Cardiology's 70th Annual Scientific Session.
