In a new paper published in the The Lancet Regional Health - Europe, Mr Gabriele Guaitoli and Dr Roberto Pancrazi from the Department of Economics at Warwick University investigate whether region-wide non-pharmaceutical interventions introduced in Italy during the second wave of Covid-19 in Fall 2020 have been effective at eliminating local risk factors.
Clinical Genomics, a private company developing evidence-based diagnostic tools for colorectal cancer, today announced the launch of Colvera, a blood-based test for colorectal cancer (CRC) recurrence monitoring. Colvera is the result of a decade of research, development and clinical validation in more than 4,000 patients.
Two drug combinations that simultaneously block two major signaling pathways downstream of the protein KRAS, which is aberrantly active in most pancreatic cancers, may provide a new treatment option for patients with this disease, according to preclinical results presented here at the AACR-NCI-EORTC International Conference on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics, held Oct. 19-23.
KellBenx, a biotechnology company focused on the development of non-invasive prenatal diagnosis (NIPD) of genetic and inherited disorders, announced today that it has secured an initial funding round of $2.5 million from four investors – three biotechnology venture capital groups and one angel investor. The round will finance a clinical trial and laboratory testing of a new, minimally invasive blood test designed to identify risks to pregnancy ranging from pre-term birth to genetic conditions.
