UCL and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences have entered into a new partnership which will enable much closer research collaboration and will explore opportunities to increase academic and student exchange between the institutions.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today approved Veltassa (patiromer for oral suspension) to treat hyperkalemia, a serious condition in which the amount of potassium in the blood is too high.
Numerous studies have reported on the association between long work shifts and an increased risk of getting injured on the job.
The National Institutes of Health has announced $46 million in research awards for the Human Placenta Project, an initiative to revolutionize understanding of the placenta. The awards will fund technology development and testing to assess placental function throughout pregnancy, with the ultimate goal of improving pregnancy outcomes and lifelong health.
