In recent time, many epidemiological studies have proved very close links existing between diabetes and Alzheimer´s disease. In fact, it has been stated that diabetes is a significant risk factor for suffering from Alzheimer and vascular dementia, the two main causes of dementia.

Surgery to remove a cancerous kidney can often lengthen the lives of patients receiving targeted therapy for metastatic kidney cancer, but only about three in ten such patients undergo the procedure, according to a new study by researchers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Health Catalyst and Partners HealthCare today announced they have been named recipients of Microsoft Corp.'s 2016 Health Innovation Awards. The organizations won the "Reinventing Productivity and Business Processes" category, which evaluates solutions that transform care delivery or population health by connecting clinicians and staff to new processes and insights.
When people eat together with other acquaintances or close friends, as in a family meal or eating with friends, they tend to eat more. This is called ‘social facilitation' and is possibly traceable all the way back to basic human behavior, allowing people to survive better. The current analysis was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition on 21 August 2019.
