CSL Behring today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved a label expansion for self-administration of Berinert, C1 Esterase Inhibitor (Human), a pasteurized, nanofiltered therapy indicated for the treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE), a rare and potentially fatal genetic disorder.
Home telemonitoring is equally effective in ICD and CRT-D patients, a subanalysis of the IN-TIME trial has shown.
An analysis of the NRG Oncology clinical trial NRG-RTOG 9202 showed that the interval of time to biochemical failure, or the time it takes for previously treated cancer to return as indicated by prostate specific antigen rise, could be used as a surrogate endpoint for locally advanced prostate cancer.
