In a presentation exploring the promise of magnetic nanoparticle (mNP) hyperthermia in breast cancer treatment, Dartmouth researcher P. Jack Hoopes, DMV, PhD, reviewed preclinical studies conducted at Norris Cotton Cancer Center and discuss plans for early-phase clinical studies in humans at the annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).
Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc. and Acasti Pharma, a Neptune subsidiary, announces that Acasti has received conditional approval for the listing of its class A common shares on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker symbol APO.
The discovery was published in the new iScience journal for interdisciplinary research by Cell Press. The newly discovered regulatory proteins differ significantly from the regulators in mouse immune cells which have been reported earlier. Some of the proteins, such as SATB1 regulating the transcription of several genes, function in the opposite way in human compared to mouse.
