Two studies published online on February 1 in the Journal of Experimental Medicine (www.jem.org) reveal that patients with a rare autoimmune disease produce antibodies that attack microbe-fighting immune proteins called cytokines.

A survey of 905 Italian truck drivers has shown that approximately half suffer from at least one sleep-related breathing problem that potentially can cause drivers to fall asleep at the wheel.
