A widespread shortage of prescription drugs is hampering the treatment of patients who have cancer, severe infections and other serious illnesses. While some Republican politicians have railed against the imaginary threat of rationing under health care reform, Congress has done nothing to alleviate the all-too-real rationing of lifesaving drugs caused by this crisis.
Aduro BioTech, Inc. announces a collaboration with Charles G. Drake, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Oncology, Immunology and Urology at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center to evaluate the therapeutic approach of anti-PD-1 in combination with one or both of Aduro's vaccine technologies based on live, attenuated Listeria monocytogenes and STING-activating adjuvants.
This new study from researchers at Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin, and the Medical University of Vienna shows that an average of 1 million microplastic particles per day are consumed by infants drinking from these feeding bottles. The study results are published in the latest issue of the journal Nature Food.
Quidel Corporation, a global leader in point-of-care (POC) rapid diagnostic tests, issues clarification regarding the Special 510(k) clearance for an update to the Company's QuickVue Influenza A+B test package insert.
The first study to examine the actual willingness of older adults to be screened for dementia has found that acceptance of screening is pervasive, although it varies by age. However, willingness to be screened for dementia does not differ by sex, race or income level.
