Women with inflammatory breast cancer -; a rare, highly aggressive form of the disease -; are living about twice as long after diagnosis than their counterparts in the mid-to-late 1970s, according to a new University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center study.
Offering incentives to health care providers who deliver higher quality care and requiring that they comply with national quality standards would help improve patient care, witnesses said at a Senate Finance Committee hearing on Tuesday, CQ HealthBeat reports.
Aspirin is used by millions of patients for the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease, the single leading cause of death in the world.
