A team of Welsh academics has developed a new method of supporting health professionals to make clinical decisions about people who may be at risk of taking their own lives.
American Medical Systems a leading provider of world-class devices and therapies for male and female pelvic health, announced today the signing of a research grant contract for six sites to evaluate anatomical, functional and safety outcomes of two different treatments for vaginal prolapse, Anterior Colporrhaphy, a technique which uses traditional suture plication, versus the Elevate Anterior and Apical Prolapse Repair System.
The promising studies suggest that some people with early cognitive impairment can still be taught to recall important information and to better perform daily tasks.
"The global market for mobile health [mHealth] products and services is expected to approach $23 billion by 2017, and much of the growth will not happen in the U.S. but rather in less-developed countries, according to a new report from PricewaterhouseCoopers [PwC]," MobiHealthNews reports.
