Ambit Biosciences Corporation announced today the presentation of two posters presenting the results of preclinical studies evaluating AC220 at the 51st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) in New Orleans.
Researchers based at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Moorfields Eye Hospital and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, received funding from Fight for Sight and the Special Trustees of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which has resulted in the design of a new test that can spot the first stages of sight loss in age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Linda Rinaman at the University of Pittsburgh is investigating the anatomical organization of this system, and also is taking a developmental approach to determine how OT modulates eating and digestion.
Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI) will begin recruiting a new clinical trial testing the oral drug SPI-1005 to prevent the hearing loss induced by loud music. Exposure to loud music or noise can induce temporary and permanent auditory threshold shifts (TTS or PTS). In some people, a repeated TTS will ultimately give way to a PTS that is irreversible.
