eHealth, Inc., parent company of eHealthInsurance, today released updated data on the cost of individually-purchased health insurance plans for individuals and families. The findings appear in The Cost of Individual and Family Health Insurance Plans 2009 Update, an internal evaluation of eHealth, Inc.'s data.
A study that included more than 45,000 residents of Sweden with rheumatoid arthritis finds that individuals with this disease had an associated higher risk of venous thromboembolism (a blood clot that forms within a vein), and that this elevated risk was stable for 10 years after the time of diagnosis, according to a study in the October 3 issue of JAMA.

The results, as reported by lead researcher Dr. Aaron Katz in the online-first publication of Integrative Cancer Therapies, show that MCP inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis (programmed cell death) in both androgen-dependent and androgen-independent cancer cells in a time and dose-dependent manner.
