Even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread across the world, researchers are still trying to understand the many ways in which it can manifest and its pathogenesis. A new report published on the preprint server medRxiv* in June 2020 shows that one possible mechanism of disease in COVID-19 is the production of antiphospholipid antibodies.
The Kaiser Family Foundation's monthly tracking poll found that 47 percent of the uninsured said they have unfavorable views of the law - an increase since December. Most were also unaware of many of the law's benefits.
In the Center for Global Development's "Global Health Policy"(CGD) blog, Victoria Fan, a CGD research fellow, and Rachel Silverman, a research assistant for the CGD global health team, examine the potential reasons behind "the U.S. government's apparent lack of support, particularly its legislated 'opt-in' stance," on the Affordable Medicines Facility for Malaria (AMFm), and they note "AMFm's continued survival is all but impossible without an explicit endorsement by the U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator who leads the U.S. President's Malaria Initiative."
