Americans for Responsible Health Care launched a seven-state radio ad campaign today calling on Democrat Members of Congress to listen to the American people's opposition to ObamaCare, and to vote against the government takeover of the nation's health care.
Two new studies have determined that everolimus-eluting stent (EES) implantation reduced the incidence of restenosis and repeat revascularization in patients with calcified culprit lesions, and had fewer clinical events. Results show the rate of major cardiac adverse events in EES-treated patients with calcified lesions were higher than in those for noncalcified lesions, but remained lower than the results of previously reported stent studies.
Research has shown that people who sit for long periods are at an increased risk of early death and several health issues.
The results of an initiative to reduce tuberculosis in China—supported by the World Bank and WHO—are reported in this week's issue of THE LANCET.
