Effective September 28th, 2010, Hamburg based HELM AG has purchased a 30% shareholding in Amarin Technologies S.A. a privately owned pharmaceutical development company in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
As if there weren't enough reasons to stop smoking, a team of researchers at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) have just found another. A study led by Dr. Christian A Pineau, Co-Director of the Lupus and Vasculitis clinic at the MUHC, has clearly linked skin damage and rashes to smoking in people with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The study was published in a recent issue of the Journal of Rheumatology.
The World Bank released a report Monday, projecting "a 2.9 percent contraction in global GDP this year, as rich countries contract by 4.5 percent," the Wall Street Journal reports.
Pulmonary drug delivery has been a rapidly expanding field, moving from the traditional propellant based metered dose inhaler delivery of small asthma drugs, to a broader landscape of new devices and novel drugs for local and systemic delivery.
