Manhattan Scientifics announced today that it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) with Edward R. Flynn, Ph.D. and his company, Senior Scientific, LLC, to acquire all the manufacturing and marketing rights, together with all commercial rights associated with Dr. Flynn's patents and IP in the emerging field of nanomedicine.
Immunomedics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing monoclonal antibodies to treat cancer and other serious diseases, today announced that eight presentations reporting on the Company's progress in diverse cancer therapy product candidates will be given at the 101st Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research, April 17 – 21, 2010, in Washington, DC.
A study by Express Scripts, a mail-order prescription drug provider, said Tuesday that an "estimated $163 billion in health care spending could be saved each year if patients took their medicines as prescribed, chose generic drugs and other low-cost alternatives, and had their prescriptions delivered by mail," the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Express Scripts released its report at a two-day conference for clients in St. Louis.
Deep brain stimulation, increasingly recognized as an effective therapy for certain cases of Parkinson's disease, dystonia and tremor, also may help patients who suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder or depression that fails to respond to other treatments.
