pSivida Corp., a leader in the development of sustained release, drug delivery products for treating eye diseases, today announced that the New Drug Application for ILUVIEN for the treatment of chronic Diabetic Macular Edema has been resubmitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
A scheme by the British government to put the medical records of 50 million National Health (NHS) patients on a national electronic database, is in danger of being boycotted by as many as two-thirds of family doctors.
Studies have revealed that men seem to be more at risk of getting severe effects of the COVID-19 infection compared to women. Studies also show that women seem to be worrying more about getting infected than men. Both these findings may be related to each other.
Overall antibiotic use was not curbed by giving physicians the results of biomarker tests in patients with suspected lower respiratory tract infections, according to findings from the Procalcitonin Antibiotic Consensus Trial.
