The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting people with or at risk for HIV both indirectly, by interfering with HIV treatment and prevention services, and directly, by threatening individual health.
In response to today's vote by Congress to legislation that provides a 10-month delay to Medicare physician reimbursement cuts, freezing current rates and averting a 27.4 percent cut, the American Urological Association (AUA) issued the following statement.
Virginia Interventional and Vascular Associates (VIVA) and its parent group, Radiologic Associates of Fredericksburg (RAF) Ltd., announce that Victor J. D'Addio, M.D., FACS, has joined the practice. Dr. D'Addio is a board-certified vascular surgeon. Together, the practice offers streamlined services for vascular patients and referring physicians - from office-based vascular testing to minimally invasive treatments and traditional surgery.
Scientists have sequenced the entire genomes of tumors from 50 breast cancer patients and found more than 1,700 gene mutations, most of which were unique to individual patients. The researchers at Washington University in St. Louis and the Siteman Cancer Center suggest that this variability and uniqueness made it difficult to predict outcomes of the cases.
