John Wiley & Sons launches Molecular Genetics & Genomic Medicine

John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced the launch of Molecular Genetics & Genomic Medicine (MGGM), a new Wiley Open Access journal. Under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Dr. Maximilian Muenke, the journal will provide rapid dissemination of high-quality research in all areas of human, medical and molecular genetics.

EDAP reduces outstanding debt by $4.6 million

EDAP TMS SA, the global leader in therapeutic ultrasound, announced today that it entered into agreements with certain holders of its senior debentures and warrants to redeem part of EDAP's outstanding convertible debt and cancel some of its outstanding warrants. Pursuant to these agreements, the Company issued 1,441,743 ordinary shares in the form of American Depositary Shares in exchange for 4,558 senior debentures (equivalent to USD 4,558,000) and 986,965 warrants, reducing the current outstanding debt by USD 4.6 million to USD 10.5 million.

Gun violence exposure linked to increased odds of mental health-related ED visits among children

A nursing home (also called skilled nursing facility) is a facility or distinct part of an institution whose primary function is to provide medical, continuous nursing, and other health and social services to patients who are not in an acute phase of illness requiring services in a hospital, but who require primary restorative or skilled nursing services on an inpatient basis above the level of intermediate or custodial care in order to reach a degree of body functioning to permit self care in essential daily living.
