FONAR Corporation, The Inventor of MR Scanning, announced today that the Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) (Minneapolis, MN) has purchased a third FONAR UPRIGHT® Multi-Position™ MRI. It is scheduled to be installed in CDI's OpenScan MRI center in Duluth, Minnesota, replacing the current low-field open-sided MRI scanner in that center.
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) released its newest research numbers today, reporting a 34% increase to $46,521,487 in total research spending for the Sept. 1, 2008 – Aug. 31, 2009 fiscal year (FY 09) over the previous fiscal year, when research spending totaled $34,601,444. The statistic is up 97% from just five years ago, when UTSA's total research expenditures were $23,605,844.
A new study in marmoset monkeys suggests that individual variation in genes alters our ability to regulate emotions, providing new insights that could help in the development of personalized therapies to tackle anxiety and depression.
A new study published in JAMA Pediatrics shows that since 2003, the use of alternative medicines, such as herbal products and nutraceuticals, among children has doubled.
