Tyson Foods Inc., a New Holland, Pa. establishment, has recalled more than 2.4 million pounds of their products containing ready-to-eat breaded chicken. The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on Friday, 9th of June. The Agency says that the label does not indicate the presence of milk which is a known allergen.
Fluidigm Corporation announced today a collaboration with BD Biosciences, a segment of BD, to co-host a public seminar series on the isolation and analysis of single cells. Entitled A Powerful Technique for Single-Cell Analysis, the public seminar series will showcase cell isolation using the BD FACSAria III Cell Sorter and analysis using the Fluidigm BioMark HD System.
In the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics a new analysis discloses that increasing the dosage of antidepressant drugs does not carry benefits. As many patients with unipolar depression do not respond sufficiently to initial antidepressant monotherapy, a dose increase of the current administered antidepressant (dose escalation, high-dose treatment) is frequently carried out as next treatment measure.
