Three quarters of European people surveyed between the 30th April and 6th May 2009 said they were either not at all concerned or only a little concerned about swine flu.
The attitudes of patients with bipolar disorder towards mood-stabilising medications are influenced by their social support system, say researchers.
Genzyme, a Sanofi company, today announced that it has begun shipping Fabrazyme (agalsidase beta) produced at its newly approved plant in Framingham, Massachusetts. As previously communicated, patients in the U.S. are now able to return to full dosing in March. In addition, all new patients in the U.S. are eligible to begin Fabrazyme treatment, at full dosing levels.
A study led by Mayo Clinic Cancer Center adds evidence to a growing body of knowledge that shows women with benign breast disease have a higher risk for breast cancer, and that certain types of breast disease may predict the near-term development of breast cancer. The findings will be published in the July 21 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.
Leading Health Economist, John Forbes, has been appointed as Professor of Health Economics at the University of Limerick. His appointment has been supported by the Health Research Board. Professor Forbes becomes one of the first HRB Research Leaders and he will lead a €1.5 million programme of research into the economics of personalised health.
