eHealth Technologies announced today it has concluded an agreement with the Radiological Society of North America that will increase standards-based interoperability between image sharing providers in New York State.
Scientists at the Roskamp Institute in Sarasota, Florida, have shown that mice that naturally develop Alzheimer's are able to ward off the growth of brain cancer. In a series of experiments published in the Journal of Neuroscience, they showed that mice that spontaneously develop Alzheimer's Disease are able to dramatically reduce the growth of a human brain cancer.
Researchers at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, have discovered three new drug-like compounds that could ultimately offer better odds of survival to prostate cancer patients.
In spite of the tremendous attention being paid this summer to health care reform, it is critical that investments in medical technology startups not go into a "holding pattern," but continue unabated. So says ONSET Ventures partner Rob Kuhling.
