Researchers at Mount Sinai School of Medicine have found that the majority of physicians and members of the American Medical Association (AMA) opposed the AMA's position on coverage expansions-the most contentious issue in the recent health care reform debate. Earlier this year, Chimerix initiated a dose-escalating Phase 1 clinical trial of CMX-157 to evaluate drug safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics.
Mylan Inc. today announced that it has launched Risedronate Sodium Tablets USP, 150 mg, the generic version of Warner Chilcott's Actonel Tablets. Mylan received final approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for this product, which is indicated for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
