Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today reported net income of $63.0 million, or $0.55 per diluted share for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009. Excluding special items as detailed in the reconciliation table below, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $76.1 million, or $0.66 per diluted share, an increase of $22.1 million or 41 percent over the adjusted net income for the third quarter ended September 30, 2008.
