New research published today in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health has found that education and employment experiences in early adulthood contribute to cardiovascular health inequalities in later life, independent of occupation and family income in mid-adulthood.
Data revealed the mean total PMAS was 64 percent of optimal, suggesting a generally poor score. In fact, they found that less than half of residents with predictably recurrent pain were being prescribed scheduled pain medication; 23 percent received at least one high-risk medication.
World Health Organization (WHO) officials announced last Friday that famine-stricken Somalia faces a cholera epidemic as dirty water and poor sanitation are leading to an increase in outbreaks of the disease.
