As advances in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) extend patients' lives, more of these patients are facing a different threat: adverse cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks and heart failure.
One of the biggest puzzles in neuroscience is how our brains encode thoughts, such as perceptions and memories, at the cellular level. Some evidence suggests that ensembles of neurons represent each unique piece of information, but no one knows just what these ensembles look like, or how they form.
Avita Medical Ltd., a regenerative medicine company specializing in the treatment of wounds and skin defects, today announced that statistically significant data from a randomized controlled study demonstrated that its single-use autologous cell suspension technology ReCell was safe and effective in skin repigmentation for patients suffering with depigmented skin lesions caused by vitiligo and piebaldism.
The Pittcon Program Committee is pleased to announce this year's recipients of 15 prestigious awards honoring scientists who have made outstanding contributions to analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy.
