IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc., a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired Senior Care of Colorado, PC (SCOC) headquartered in Aurora, Colorado. SCOC provides geriatric care at more than 200 facilities in the Denver metro area. SCOC has an annualized volume of more than 200,000 patient encounters. The U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on Monday warned of an impending "health disaster facing developing countries if wealthy nations fail to control drugs," Agence France-Presse reports.
