Teens are often warned to beware the undue influence of peer pressure, but new research suggests that following the pack in adolescence may have some unexpected benefits for physical health in early adulthood.
A new study conducted by the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) at the University of Granada and researchers from the University of Jaen found that 64% of pregnant women experience insomnia during their third trimester of pregnancy.
In one of the first studies to use brain imaging with adolescents born prematurely, New Jersey researchers report that the effects of premature birth and environmental risks on the brain during the first three years of childhood continue through adolescence.
