Scientists at the University of Sussex could be a step closer to developing the first-ever blood test to diagnose the most aggressive type of brain cancer, glioblastoma.
Genome researchers from Bielefeld University's Center for Biotechnology (CeBiTec) headed by Professor Dr. Alfred P-hler have succeeded in sequencing the genome of the Chinese hamster. The Chinese hamster supplies the cell cultures used by the pharmaceutical industry to produce biopharmaceutical products such as antibodies used in medicine.
A new hypothesis has been developed by researchers in Bochum on how Alzheimer's disease could occur. They analysed the interaction of the proteins FE65 and BLM that regulate cell division.
A new independent film, which reflects on the progress made to address human factors in healthcare in the 10 years since Elaine Bromiley died after ‘a routine operation' went badly wrong, will premiere at the Annual ASPiH conference to be held at the Brighton Conference Centre, 3-5 November 2015.
