The American Academy of Ophthalmology today announced the launch of a new online resource for eye physicians and surgeons dedicated solely to children's ocular diseases and disorders. The Knights Templar Eye Foundation Pediatric Ophthalmology Education Center is an important tool that enables ophthalmologists to better serve the 19 million children worldwide who suffer visual impairment. The new resource will be unveiled this week at AAO 2015, the 119th annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Cellectis, the French genome engineering specialist, and Harvard Apparatus, a division of Harvard Bioscience, Inc. (Nasdaq: HBIO), a global developer, manufacturer, and marketer of a broad range of tools to advance life science research and regenerative medicine, have announced today that they have signed a license agreement that grants Harvard Apparatus the worldwide exclusive right to manufacture and sell, for research use, the full line of electroporation-based instruments acquired by Cellectis from CytoPulse in September of 2010.
Fisher Wallace Laboratories today announced that two psychiatry professors at Columbia University, Dr. Richard Brown and Dr. Andres San Martin, have prescribed the Fisher Wallace Cranial Stimulator to more than 250 patients suffering from depression, anxiety and insomnia.
The TURis plasma vaporization electrode does not cut off tissue with a loop, but energetically vaporizes the tissue with a small button electrode. With the help of the latest plasma technology, cells can be removed by merely gliding the electrode over the prostate tissue.
