In a first step toward engineering a drug-free Cannabis plant for hemp fiber and oil, University of Minnesota researchers have identified genes producing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive substance in marijuana. Studying the genes could also lead to new and better drugs for pain, nausea and other conditions.
Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a license agreement with Teva Parenteral Medicines, Inc., Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., which includes a stipulation by the parties requesting dismissal of the lawsuit filed by Cubist in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware relating to the Abbreviated New Drug Application filed by TPM with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for a generic version of CUBICIN.

Gov. Mark Dayton said during his campaign that enrolling 95,000 people in an expanded Medicaid program would be his top priority when he took office - and he meant it. Less than three weeks after he was told by members of former Gov.
