Researchers from the Australian National University (ANU) have discovered female mosquitofish (Gambusia holbrooki) prefer males with a strong nutritional upbringing. The preference is there even when the males are otherwise identical to previously undernourished fish. These mosquitofish were introduced to Australia in an attempt to control mosquitoes.
