The research, presented at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress in Munich today (8 September 2013), suggests that testing the temperature of breath could be a simple and noninvasive method to either confirm or reject the presence of lung cancer.

Alcon second-quarter adjusted EPS increases 14.4% to $2.22 per share

The Alcon Independent Director Committee noted today that Alcon once again delivered strong earnings in the second quarter of 2010. Alcon's 2Q 2010 Adjusted EPS of $2.22 per share represented a year-over-year growth rate of 14.4% and exceeded Wall Street's mean consensus estimate of $2.03 per share by 9.4%.
